PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT (PDF)
SOLUTIONS:
NOW YOU CAN PRINT ANY PDF FILE
In our daily life experiences,
we’ve all got to encounter difficulties in one way or the other. Every problem
in its specific sphere and category is based on what you are working on at that
point in time. The magnitude of the problem will depend on the level you’ve
reached so far on the quest, thus determining your manner of approach to get
the solution.
My Experience
Having been an internet user over
a period of time, sourcing for information online has become a norm; and as
such, I have been privileged to come across various types of information
products; some in non-downloadable format which will require you to read it
online because it has no downloadable form, however, majority of them could
still be copied by means of highlighting (dragging of the mouse over the text
content) and then paste in any computer program of choice, (notepad is commonly
used in this regards). While most come in downloadable format which could be
opened with or accessed with Windows based programs such as Microsoft Word,
Note Pad, Word Pad, Acrobat reader amongst others. It is one of such e-books
that I purchased in PDF only to discover that it is not printable after
downloading it.
The Problem
There can never be a hassle free
life in the world no matter what you do. Hence, the challenge with PDF or
Acrobat files. Although, this is not very common but it is a challenge that
does come up at one point in time or the other when trying to access PDF files
especially when trying to print it or copy from it. This is a security measure
used by the author of the file/document to restrict it from flowing so easily
in order to make sure that a person who did not purchase or download it won’t
be able to access it. But, the question is, how easy is it to read a whole
document of about 20 pages or more conveniently on the screen of a computer
system, Ipad, Smartphone or whatever gadget you have it on? As indicated above,
I bought a 22 pages information document in PDF file which came to me encoded
(not printable, not copy-able, even right-click was disabled on it). When I
contacted the author to inform him about my challenge, he just asked me to read
it on the system without even knowing whether I have a system of my own or not.
He even went ahead to tell me that I could read it at a cyber café. Which
means, having paid for the product I purchased, I will still need to pay at the
cyber café for the use of the internet to read inconveniently. I was not
comfortable with the idea, so I had to find a means to get the whole
information in the palms of my hand and in my grip in hard copies, which I
successfully did.
The Solution
Thank goodness, there is hardly a
problem without a solution and that is where PDF solution comes in. With PDF
solutions, you are sure to get off the hook of purchasing or even downloading
free PDF files that will restrict you from having it in hard copies. I
successfully got mine printed after some few hours research. To get it done
your own way, you will not need to open the file with Acrobat reader. Surprised
or thinking about the possibility? Oh yes, very possible! The reason why you
need to open without Acrobat reader is to enable you bypass the encryption
associated with it, because it is only when you open such files with Acrobat
reader that you face the challenges that comes with it. All you need do is to
download and install Mozilla firefox (A free internet Software to surf the net
just like Internet explorer). But just in a situation whereby you will need to
use a café, just try to use a system that has Mozilla firefox or ask the café
attendant/owner to download and install one for you. This is because, Firefox
has an inbuilt ability to open various types of documents even if its original
program software is not installed on the computer you are using, and this has
no regards for whatever encryption or security code the document might come
with. If the document came as an attachment, you may not necessarily download
it, you can just place you mouse over it and click on “view’. This will open
the document in firefox browser, if you are a conversant computer user, you
should know the icon that represents ‘printer’ or where to find it in the
‘File’ dropdown list on the ‘Menu Bar’ and watch your document come to you in
the format you desire.
